Trollbeads Denmark has announced The Old "Earth" Bead has been voted out of Retirement!!!

To celebrate the launch of Trollbeads Museum Trollbeads Denmark offered Trollbeads friends the chance to vote one retired bead back into the permanent collection and the winner is...Earth!!
	Earth was designed by Nicolas Aagaard in 2000: "I was incredibly surprised and proud to hear that Earth had been voted out of retirement. This bead was my first design for Trollbeads back when Trollbeads was a completely unique concept. It's fantastic to see that Trollbeads, and Earth bead, are still finding new fans today!"

Earth was a collaborative design between Nicolas Aagaard and his grandfather Svend. It came to life in 2000 the same year that the Trollbeads 'bead on bracelet' concept was copied for the first time. The advertisement below was created in light of this and ran in a trade magazine directed at goldsmiths and jewelry retailers in Denmark who wanted to offer the original product. The text reads: Søren discovered it and still conjures up new designs. Jens and Svend deliver the most. Lise has turned it into a success and, together with Christel and Trine, designs the most popular ones... Niki - he got his grandfather to make his!

Trollbeads Gallery Announces the release of 65+ Unique Beads tonight!

Tonight, 5-24-10 at 8:00 PM EST Trollbeads Gallery will be releasing a new collection of Unique Beads. The beautiful black and white Trollbead shown here on the left will be in tonight's group. Also included will be more mini-Unique beads, beads that measure under 10 cm's!  We started this category with the last release and they were scooped up!  The mini Unique amber beads sold out immediately so we are putting more of them on as well.

The interest for mini beads began when I posted a picture of my own mini collection on Trollbeads Gallery Forum and many people loved it and started collecting. We also sell mini retired beads. I have always held on to them, not only because of my love of  anything miniature but I also kept them because if anyone got one of these they may feel they were short changed.  So I hung on to them and now they are popular!  Our forum passed the 1500th member mark this month and is about to come to 7000 photos installed!  Join for inspiration and for information.

Trollbeads Aventurine Bead and it's Meaning

Aventurine is a form of quartz, it has a translucency and the presence of mineral inclusions that give a glistening effect termed aventurescence. The variety of color is shown below, notice the aventurescence. The shimmering inclusions are more common in the darker stones.  Aventurine has been used to promote good health and it is also used as a talisman for gamblers because it is considered good luck!  The photo below is a good representation of the variety of colors in the Aventurine beads.  Create your own luck and wear an Aventurine Trollbead

New Unique and New Mini-Unique Trollbeads To Be Listed!

New Unique Beads and New Unique Mini-Beads!

Tomorrow night (Thursday) www.trollbeadsgallery.com will be listing new Unique Trollbeads.  The Unique beads we select for our website are the cream of the crop and it shows!

We will be introducing a whole new category within the Unique beads.  All beads that are smaller than 10 cm will be MINI-BEADS.  Most of the mini-beads will be $35.00. As many of you who are members of Trollbead Gallery Forum know these miniature glass and amber beads have always been a favorite of mine and now we have collected enough to start a mini-bead category.  With the first release I have a few Retired Glass beads that are miniature and the prices on these will make them very attainable. As I mentioned, this category will also be including small Amber Unique beads.

Trollbeads has Released Historical Information in Photographs!!

More than 50 new Unique Beads on Trollbeads Gallery Tonight!

We have had a great time sorting and photographing our latest offering of Unique Trollbeads for you.  To make it more interesting I pulled some older unique beads out of my secret stash, including one of my favorite styles, Shadow Beads. 

We have so many new collectors I thought it would be nice to share some of the older uniques. Three years ago Trollbeads made some wonderful Shadow Unique Beads.  I can offer a few…but I still have more for future releases.

These Unque Trollbeads will be posted at 8:00 PM EDT tonight (Friday, April 30, 2010) so don't miss out, they will be sure to be very popular!

Starfish in Boulder, Colorado Has Re-Opened in a Great New Location!!

Alex and Krista Rogers have just re-opened their new gallery in Boulder, Colorado.  Starfish, Boulder's store for Trollbeads has moved to an area on the Pearl Street Walking Mall known as "on the bricks".   A highly acclaimed established shopping area with interesting boutiques, book stores, restaurants and galleries, this new location has been a dream  for the Rogers' that took 2 years to put together.
You will also find the work of jewelry artisans such as Heather Moore, Kir ( a local Boulderite), Catherine Weitzman along with others.
